The Islands Report. Against considerable advice, the new ice racetrack has been installed. And, wow. It is fast.
Banked turns. No guardrails.
A raised ice platform wraps around the entire island. Jump blocks. Secret passages. Speed blocks. Guardrails? The guardrail budget was, and I am quoting the form directly here, reallocated. Who needs safety.
Sleds in six colors.
Scattered around the course are sleds. You hop on one and it simply lets go, off you go at full speed, carving the turns and skidding into frozen corners of the island you could never reach on foot. The sleds come in six colors. Six. Which, and I cannot stress this enough, is six more than I expected from the same people who installed a giant yeti with icicles in its armpits to sit at the end of the thing and watch every lap.
About that yeti.
Frost in its fur, icicles where icicles should not be, eyes on every racer who goes by. I have decided not to think about it too hard. You may feel differently.
Collectibles. Danger. Very high speed.
There is a sled costume to earn, too, in all six colors to match the sleds. And there are exclusive ice blocks you can only collect out on the track. So if you are sitting there thinking, is it worth it, let me ask you this. Do you like rare collectibles? Do you like danger? Do you like combining those two things at very high speed while a frozen monster watches? Then yes. This is your moment. Not mine. Yours.
